I tried to continue two long‑term chats in AI Studio—one with 600 k tokens and another with 800 k—just to see how well Gemini keeps context over time. Suddenly the send button went gray, the token counter wouldn’t load, and I couldn’t type anything. It feels like the whole conversation is locked up, and I have no idea how to recover the work I put into those massive chats.

I tried to ask Gemini for simple essay topics, but it kept spitting out the generic “I’m sorry, I can’t help…” message every single time. I cleared the chat history, switched from Free to Pro, disabled memory, even changed phones, yet nothing changed. It used to ask for clarification, now it’s dead‑locked. The whole experience was infuriating and left me feeling stuck with no solution.

I’m paying for the Ultra plan but the Gemini CLI acts like I’m on the free tier, constantly hitting “usage limit reached.” When it does run, the context window breaks after a quarter usage, and it either does nothing or hallucinates code that isn’t there. Using /init with the Flash model even spawns random, nonsensical file edits I never asked for. It’s basically unusable and driving me insane.
