I keep hitting the same wall every time I chat with Gemini/Nano. I add images and ask for ideas, but the “nano banana” feature either fizzles out or works only sporadically. This has been dragging on for months, and each failed attempt leaves me more frustrated and disappointed with how unreliable the tool is inside Gemini conversations.

I gave it a single shot to generate something and it completely blanked out—no output at all, not even a basic version. It felt pointless, especially since I was using the pro tier and still got nothing. The whole experience left me frustrated and skeptical about its usefulness.

I used Nano Banana 2 to generate reference images for my drawings, but everything I need is now blocked or looks awful. Prompts that once produced decent anime girls with specific outfits now get censored, and the images are generic, ugly, and wrong‑proportioned. The tool feels restrictive and broken, making my workflow a nightmare, and my attempts to give feedback seem ignored.

Instead, it kept misunderstanding my prompts, gave vague or outright wrong answers, and forced me to rewrite queries repeatedly. The tool's behavior was frustrating and time‑consuming, leaving me annoyed that it couldn't handle simple tasks reliably.

I’m outraged that they released this “nano banana 2” version. It feels like a crippled downgrade of the already solid pro model—slower response times, reduced capabilities, and absurd censorship. I can’t understand why they would break something that worked fine; using it has been a frustrating step backward.

I relied on Nano Banana 1 for drawing references and it transformed my practice, giving fluid poses, accurate anatomy, and useful lighting. Then Nano Banana 2 arrived and everything fell apart—characters are stuck in T‑poses, faces blank, bodies unnatural, even absurd anatomy like extra limbs, and colors are garishly oversaturated. It feels like a generic, useless downgrade, and I’m frustrated that paying users can’t get the quality we used to.
