I’ve been using Gemini as a personal trainer for months, loading my nutrition plans, race data and body scans. It helped me finish an ultra and kept me consistent, but the file‑import kept glitching and I can’t switch models mid‑chat or exit canvas mode. I’m stuck wondering if building a “gem” was worth it or if I should just use a regular chat, and how to start a fresh session while keeping my history.

I’ve been using Aistudio and noticed a sharp decline in quality lately. Normally I could push around 200 k tokens before Gemini started peppering the replies with unnecessary adverbs and adjectives, but today it happened at just 120 k and was the worst I’ve ever seen. I tried multiple times to get the output back on track, but nothing worked, leaving me frustrated and stuck.

I tried using Gemini to translate the English word “undefined” into Arabic, even though I don’t speak the language myself. Instead of a proper translation, the model gave me a definition that made no sense in context. The response was off‑topic and left me confused, feeling the tool didn’t understand the request at all.

I was asking the Chrome search AI about photosynthesis, and after calling out its irrelevant sources, it started spitting out bizarre links that had nothing to do with my question. The titles barely hinted at the topic, but the content was nonsensical. It even ended the session sometimes, which felt like the AI was giving up and just dumping random references. This pattern happened repeatedly and left me frustrated.
